English Subject GuideBooks/E-booksCoreCarrolline and Other Catalogs
Start with Carrolline (the JCU catalog) to learn which books and other materials are owned by Grasselli Library. There are also links to OhioLINK Central Catalog, WorldCat, area libraries, and Jesuit libraries. You could use one or more of these catalogs as a follow-up of your search of Carrolline.
MLA International Bibliography (1926 - Current)
Compiled by the Modern Language Association, this is an essential bibliography for literary criticism on all nationalities, periods, types of literature, and authors, with the exception of classical Greek and Latin literature, which is covered in L'Annee philologique. MLAIB is also strong in scholarship on folklore, linguistics, and the teaching of rhetoric, composition, and literature. It covers articles, books, and dissertations in literature and the additional fields mentioned above.
OhioLINK Central Catalog
The combined holding of Ohio college and university libraries, the State Library of Ohio, and a number of public libraries. Books not available in Grasselli may be requested with valid library identification.

Electronic Book Center (OhioLINK)
Contains thousands of scholarly e-books covering the humanities, sciences and social sciences. These are titles available to all OhioLINK libraries through licensing with the publishers. Students seeking more comprehensive coverage of books should also consult Carrolline and the OhioLINK Central catalog, mentioned above, for unique titles available only in hardcopy at Grasselli or other libraries.
NetLibrary
Access 24/7 to the electronic texts of books available in the Grasselli Library collection.
Oxford Scholarship Online
Scholarly books from Oxford University Press, which includes both classic and newly-published works in the humanities and social sciences. New books are added regularly. Because of a slight time lag between the availability of new e-books and when they are cataloged and linked in Carrolline, it can be worthwhile to check Oxford Scholarship Online as well.
