REFERENCE UNIT

The Reference Unit is responsible for staffing the Grasselli Library reference desk, located straight ahead as you enter the library. Librarians are available eighty-three hours per week to answer questions about library services and to help users find information. Service is offered in person, by telephone, and via instant messaging. Those desiring a more extended consultation with a reference librarian may make an appointment with a reference librarian. Users may also e-mail a subject liaison for help in finding information on a particular subject. John Carroll faculty, students, and staff have access to the 24X7 KnowItNow virtual reference service, sponsored by the State Library of Ohio.
