A database covering authors and works most commonly studied from high school through college. Includes selected literary criticism, plot summaries, author biographies, author interviews, book reviews, poems, short stories, and images.

MLA International Bibliography (1926 - Current)
Compiled by the Modern Language Association, this is an essential bibliography for literary criticism on all nationalities, periods, types of literature, and authors, with the exception of classical Greek and Latin literature, which is covered in L'Annee philologique. MLAIB is also strong in scholarship on folklore, linguistics, and the teaching of rhetoric, composition, and literature. It covers articles, books, and dissertations in literature and the additional fields mentioned above.

The following volumes are part of the Dictionary of Literary Biography series.

British and Irish Novelists Since 1960
The purpose of the Dictionary of Literary Biography is to bring together introductory essays on authors of a similar time period for comparison. Each illustrated essay discusses the themes, literary devices, and style for which the author is noted. The essays also provide bibliographies of primary and secondary sources.

British and Irish Short-Fiction Writers, 1945-2000
