During October 356 new titles were added to the Grasselli collections. This includes books, e-books, e-journals, reference books, online government documents, videos and sound recordings.

Enrique's Journey, by Pulitzer Prize winning author Sonia Nazario, is the common summer reading of the class 2013. It is the story of one Central American teenager determined to find his mother who left Honduras to seek work in the U.S. Enrique's Journey develops themes of family responsibility and assimilation into new cultures. It also highlights pressing social issues including poverty, prejudice, police corruption, gang violence, and immigration policy. This web page lists resources related to the topics of immigration and human rights and provides information on opportunities for further engagement.

This new video describes the making of marbled paper and how books with marbled covers can be located in the stacks in your library. The video was created by Charles Zarobila, Curator of Special Collections, Grasselli Library and Breen Learning Center. He was assisted by Laurene DiCillo, Archives Associate and Xiaoyan Zhou, Graduate Student Archives Assistant.
